Ductile iron Female end gate valve

A Ductile Iron Female End Gate Valve (also known as a Threaded Gate Valve) is a compact, robust isolation valve designed for smaller-diameter piping systems. Unlike the larger flanged versions, this valve features internal threads (female) on both ends, allowing it to be screwed directly onto threaded pipes.

It is a preferred choice in modern plumbing and industrial installations where the strength of ductile iron is required, but space or budget does not allow for flanged connections.

1. Key Components
Body Material: Made from Ductile Iron (GGG40/50), which offers much higher tensile strength and impact resistance than traditional cast iron.

Female Ends: Typically machined with BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper) or NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads.

Sealing: Most modern versions are Resilient Seated, utilizing an EPDM-encapsulated wedge for a bubble-tight seal.

Non-Rising Stem (NRS): The stem stays at the same height during operation, making it ideal for tight spaces under sinks, in narrow shafts, or inside equipment skids.
