DIN F4 F5 Rising stem Metal seat Gate Valves

A DIN F4/F5 Rising Stem Metal Seated Gate Valve is a heavy-duty isolation valve designed for industrial applications where visual confirmation of the valve position and high-temperature durability are required. Unlike Non-Rising Stem (NRS) versions, the stem of this valve moves up and down during operation, indicating whether the valve is open or closed.

1. Key Terminology
Rising Stem (OS&Y - Outside Screw and Yoke): The stem is threaded on the outside. When the handwheel is turned, the stem rises vertically along with the gate. This protects the stem threads from the media and allows operators to see the valve's status at a glance.

DIN F4 vs. F5: * F4 (Short Series): Compact face-to-face length (EN 558 Series 14).

F5 (Long Series): Extended face-to-face length (EN 558 Series 15), providing a more robust body.

Metal Seated: The seal is formed by the contact of metal rings (Brass, Bronze, or Stainless Steel) on both the wedge and the body, offering superior resistance to heat and wear.
