DIN F1 Lift Check valve

A DIN F1 Lift Check Valve is a robust non-return valve designed for high-pressure and high-temperature industrial applications. Its name is derived from its "lifting" action: unlike a swing check valve where the disc hinges like a door, the disc in a lift check valve moves vertically upward to open and drops back down into the seat to close.

The "F1" designation refers to the standardized Face-to-Face length according to DIN 3202 (or EN 558 Series 1), which is the "Long Series" dimensions for flanged valves.

Design & Operation
The internal structure of a lift check valve is very similar to a globe valve.

The Seat: It features a horizontal seat inside the body.

The Lift: The disc is guided vertically. When the upstream pressure exceeds the weight of the disc (and the force of a spring, if present), the disc lifts off the seat to allow flow.

The Seal: When flow stops or reverses, gravity and backpressure force the disc back onto the seat. Because the disc travels a short distance and is perfectly guided, it provides a very reliable seal.
