DIN 11864 and DIN 11853 are high-purity unions designed to eliminate "dead spaces" where bacteria grow. While DIN 11864 is the Aseptic standard for pharma/biotech, DIN 11853 is the Hygienic version for food/chem.
Both use a metal-to-metal stop that precisely compresses the O-ring, creating a flush internal surface perfect for CIP/SIP sterilization. They come in three types:
Form A: Screwed
Form B: Flange
Form C: Clamp
