The ANSI B16.9 Stainless Steel 90° Short Radius (SR) Elbow is a compact fitting designed for tight spaces where a standard long radius elbow won't fit. With a centerline radius equal to the nominal pipe size (R=1D), it allows for sharp directional changes in cramped piping skids or vessel internals. Forged from high-grade 304L or 316L, it offers excellent corrosion resistance. While it induces higher pressure drop than LR types, its space-saving geometry is indispensable for modular industrial designs.
