ASTM A182 chrome-moly alloy steel Weld Neck (WN) flanges are engineered for high-temperature and high-pressure applications. Grades F5, F9, F11, and F22 offer varying levels of chromium and molybdenum for creep resistance and strength in refineries. F91 is a creep-strength-enhanced ferritic (CSEF) alloy for ultra-critical power plants. The tapered hub design ensures uniform stress distribution, preventing fatigue at the weld joint during thermal cycling in harsh steam or hydrocarbon service.
